Event Staff, BAEC

Position Overview 

The Event Staff position is a part-time, non-exempt role. This individual will be working within Clowes Memorial Hall. Event Staff are experienced ushers who have demonstrated the desire to assume extra responsibilities by meeting specific performance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Event Staff serve as training mentors for the volunteer usher staff.
• Be familiar with building policies and procedures as detailed in the Facility and Usher Manuals.
• Be experienced in working all front of house staff positions including ticket-taking, front desk, and directional.
• Participate in training for facility emergency procedures, demonstrate an understanding of those policies and procedures and lead volunteers in the implementation of those procedures.

Required Qualifications 

• Has the recommendation of the House Manager and/or Event Coordinator to be Event Staff.
• Served as a volunteer event usher for one semester.
• Be willing to work at an assigned number of events per semester. (6)
• Display good customer service skills, be willing to solve problems and assist others. 
• Display enthusiasm for performing arts events.
• Display radio etiquette.
