Job Description - Executive Chef 2






Role Overview






Sodexo is seeking an Executive Chef 2 for Putnam School District located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The selected candidate will have a direct impact on culinary operations as they will be responsible for culinary training and food quality across the district.

What You'll Do






  • Manage purchasing, inventory, menu compliance, food production, and food cost analysis across multiple sites
  • Oversee PrimeroEdge food management system and support menu development initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with Sodexo and USDA culinary standards, including recipes, food quality, and consistency
  • Lead and support catering operations across Putnam City Schools and neighboring K–12 accounts
  • Coach, mentor, and develop frontline staff while delivering strong client and customer service
  • Maintain strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards, leveraging automated systems for inventory and operations

What You Bring






  • A strong culinary background, with the demonstrated ability to stay current with new culinary trends
  • Previous experience in a K-12 environment is preferred
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to maintain the highest culinary standards
  • Strong coaching and employee development skills
  • A passion for food and innovation

Qualifications & Requirements






Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
Minimum Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
