Job Description - Executive Chef 2






Role Overview






Sodexo Senior Living is seeking an Executive Chef 2 for The Keele Center, in Delray Beach, Florida.  This is a 5-star, state-of-the-art luxury community with a medical detox unit, an Older Adult residential treatment program, residential treatment programming for affluent individuals, as well as neurocognitive services, research, and medical education.  This account operates on a luxury resort platform with a fine dining level atmosphere and attention to detail. 

 

This Executive Chef will oversee the dining operations for the Keele Center and will support an off-site residential unit with private dining.  Dining operations are restaurant style including made-to-order meals and high-end buffets.  Will manage a staff of approximately 20 employees.  Typical shift will be 10:00 am- 7:00pm, may vary, including one weekend day and some holidays.









What You'll Do






  • manage the daily food production including production planning and controls;
  • have fine dining experience;
  • have a strong understanding of wellness and healthy dining;
  • ensure Sodexo Culinary Standards including recipe compliance and food quality;
  • manage food costing, controls and compliance;
  • develop menus and manage inventory;
  • have high expectations for customer service and quality of food;
  • have the ability and willingness to develop and train front-line employees;
  • have a passion for food and innovation;
  • have knowledge of special diets and allergens; and
  • knowledge of Sodexo Food Management System (FMS) is preferred.

What You Bring






  • prior executive chef experience in high-end dining and catering;
  • excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to maintain the highest of standards and implements company policies; and
  • strong management and hospitality skills.

Qualifications & Requirements






Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
Minimum Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
