What You'll Do as an Executive Director

• Provide organizational leadership by working with the Board to establish strategic priorities and annual goals, then translate those priorities into effective plans, programs, operations, and measurable results.
• Oversee day-to-day operations, including programs, services, staff, volunteers, and organizational activities.
• Strengthen the staffing, infrastructure, funding, property, systems, and compliance practices needed to support Hope Served's continued growth.
• Lead fundraising and development efforts, including annual and capital campaigns, donor relationships, grants, gifts, and other funding opportunities.
• Cultivate relationships with churches, donors, community organizations, human service agencies, community leaders, and other partners while representing Hope Served publicly.
• Manage budgeting, financial reporting, bookkeeping oversight, financial policies, and coordination with the Treasurer and accounting firm.
• Lead the development and evaluation of programs consistent with Hope Served's mission, Board-approved strategic priorities, and the evolving needs of the community.
• Build a strong team through hiring, performance management, employee development, succession planning, and effective HR practices.

Our Ideal Executive Director

• Experienced Leader: At least 5 years of management experience, preferably within a faith-based human services organization, including organizational change and development.
• Mission-Driven & Faith-Centered: Demonstrate strong Christian faith and alignment with Hope Served's mission, Statement of Faith, and guiding principles; a related bachelor's or master's degree is preferred, though equivalent experience may be considered.
• Strategic & Hands-On: See the big picture, set priorities, and guide growth while staying involved in day-to-day needs.
• Fundraising & Relationship-Focused: Bring capital campaign and donor management experience while building relationships with community partners, staff, volunteers, and individuals with disabilities and their families.
• Humble & Accountable: Operate with transparency and integrity, communicate candidly with the Board, establish measurable goals, report progress and challenges clearly, and take responsibility for organizational results.
• Growth-Minded Communicator: Strengthen teams, processes, and programs while communicating clearly, resolving conflict, and engaging diverse audiences.

• $80,000-$90,000/year DOE
