About The Lawrence Hotel (Hilton Pre-Opening Opportunity)

The Lawrence Hotel, a proud member of Hilton’s Tapestry Collection, is preparing to welcome its first guests. We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Executive Housekeeping Director to lead the housekeeping operation and establish the cleanliness, organization, and service standards that will define the guest experience from opening day.


Position Overview

The Executive Housekeeping Director is responsible for the overall cleanliness, appearance, and maintenance of guestrooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. This role leads the housekeeping team, manages labor and expenses, and ensures Hilton brand standards are consistently achieved while delivering a high-quality guest experience.


Key Responsibilities

Housekeeping Operations

  • Oversee daily housekeeping operations including guestrooms, public areas, laundry, and back-of-house.
  • Ensure all areas meet Hilton cleanliness and presentation standards.
  • Conduct routine inspections to maintain quality and consistency.
  • Coordinate room availability and priorities with the Front Office.

Team Leadership & Staffing

  • Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise housekeeping and laundry team members.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, efficiency, and service excellence.
  • Manage productivity standards and labor costs to meet budget goals.
  • Provide coaching, performance feedback, and ongoing development.

Inventory & Cost Control

  • Manage housekeeping supplies, linens, and equipment to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
  • Control expenses through effective purchasing and usage practices.
  • Monitor linen quality, replacement cycles, and par levels.
  • Ensure proper care and maintenance of equipment.

Guest Experience & Service Recovery

  • Respond promptly to guest requests and service concerns.
  • Support service recovery efforts to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor guest feedback and identify opportunities for operational improvement.

Pre-Opening Responsibilities

  • Participate in FF&E setup, room detailing, and opening readiness inspections.
  • Establish cleaning procedures, productivity standards, and operating systems.
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training of the housekeeping team.
  • Coordinate linen, uniform, and supply ordering for opening.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of housekeeping leadership experience in a hotel environment; Hilton or full-service experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, labor management, and quality control.
  • Experience with housekeeping systems and Hilton brand standards preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on cleanliness, efficiency, and guest satisfaction.
