We are currently seeking experienced caregivers to provide personal care and companionship services for a male veteran in Collinsville, CT. The client requiring personal care assistance requested to work with a male caregiver. 

Responsibilities: 

• Assist with personal care including and Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, toileting, feeding and dressing


• Support fall prevention and client safety


• Assist with meal planning and preparation


• Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, changing bed linens, light housekeeping, vacuuming, dish washing and general tidying


• Provide friendly companionship and emotional support


• Run errands or take client to appointments, as needed


• Medication reminders


• Observe and report changes in client's physical condition, behavior or appearance


• Adhere to all company policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of clients

Requirements:

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a caregiver, preferably in a home care setting


• Ability to pass a thorough background check and drug screening


• Strong knowledge of care giving skills, techniques and best practices


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


• Compassionate, patient, dependable and professional demeanor


• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods of time


• Availability to work flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
