Position: Experienced Flat Rate Automotive Technician
Employment Type: Full-Time
Pay: Competitive flat-rate compensation based on experience and qualifications
Schedule: Full-Time — Saturday availability is required
What You’ll Do
As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for accurately diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of vehicles while meeting the highest standards for safety and quality.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and mechanical repairs.
- Diagnose drivability, electrical, engine, transmission, suspension, steering, brake, and HVAC concerns.
- Accurately identify the cause of vehicle concerns and recommend appropriate repairs.
- Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
- Follow manufacturer specifications and recommended repair procedures.
- Perform diagnostic testing using scan tools and other automotive diagnostic equipment.
- Complete multipoint inspections and communicate additional repair needs to the service team.
- Maintain accurate repair documentation and communicate clearly with service advisors.
- Work efficiently in a flat-rate environment while maintaining quality and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Properly use and care for shop equipment, tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Stay current with changing automotive technology, repair procedures, and diagnostic techniques.
- Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA/shop safety guidelines.
- Work as part of a team and assist fellow technicians when needed.
Qualifications
Required:
- Proven experience as an automotive technician.
- Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills.
- Experience working in a flat-rate environment.
- Ability to accurately diagnose problems and complete repairs efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to provide your own professional hand tools.
- Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
- Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.
- Saturday availability is a MUST.
Preferred:
- Toyota factory training or Toyota/Lexus dealership experience is a major plus.
- ASE certifications.
- Experience with modern vehicle diagnostic systems and scan tools.
- Experience diagnosing advanced electrical and computer-related issues.
- Additional manufacturer training or certifications.

Important Schedule Requirement
Saturday availability is required for this position.
