Fab Shop Planner

The Fab Shop Planner coordinates the end-to end workflow between sketching, fabrication, and field execution, ensuring accurate planning, timely material availability, and efficient work execution. 

Request Intake & Communication
• Manage incoming requests for sketches and shop work.
• Participate in walkthroughs to define scope.
• Maintain stakeholder communication and Zachry job package creation for Sketch and Pipe Fabrication
• Manages and documents incoming and outgoing correspondence for the Sketch & Fabrication shared mailbox, ensuring SAP note entry.

Sketching Oversight
• Support sketch development and issue resolution.
• Track progress and ensure timely approvals.
• Maintain accurate tracking systems.

Post-Approval Planning
• Perform takeoffs and estimate fabrication work.
• Review and validate material requirements.
• Coordinate procurement and create shop packages.

SAP & Time Management
• Create and manage SAP work order line items.
• Monitor time entry, approvals, and compliance.

Scheduling & Dispatch
• Schedule and dispatch work across fabrication centers.
• Manage priorities and emergent work.
 

Field Support & Logistics
• Ensure materials, tools, and equipment availability.
• Support field and shop execution needs.
