Description of Duties:
The Facilities BIM Technician supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will:
⢠Support the Engineering Design team and BIM modeler/drafters on the drafting/3D modeling efforts of new and existing building infrastructure:
o Architecture
o Mechanical
o Electrical
o Plumbing
o Fire systems
⢠Support efforts will be following current engineering codes and principles, relevant specifications, and customer requirements.
⢠Independently update existing BIM files using Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD software as directed.
⢠Gather and submit quarterly, bi\-yearly, and yearly BIM documentation as directed.
⢠Conduct site surveys to confirm drawing accuracy, and to make appropriate updates to reflect site conditions as required.
⢠Assist in the documentation of building systems upgrades, repairs, and remodeling projects.
⢠Assist the Design team in documenting design changes that occur during project implementation to ensure the final âas\-builtâ drawings incorporate design changes.
⢠The BIM Technician will assist during project/construction closeout by working closely with the project team members to ensure all actions pertaining to drawings and support documentation are completed within project specific deadlines.
⢠Prepare drawing submittals for Facilities projects.

Requirements
Basic Requirements:
⢠Must have 4, or more, years of general (full\-time) work experience
o May be reduced with completion of advanced education
⢠Must have 2, or more, years of directly related experience
⢠Must have a basic understanding of building infrastructure systems.
⢠Must have experience using computer aided drafting (CAD) and/or modeling applications.
⢠Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Programs.
⢠Must be comfortable with reading equipment details and building drawings.
⢠Must be able to climb ladders.
⢠Must be able to lift 40lbs.
⢠Must be able to work below raised floors/restrictive spaces.
⢠Must have, or obtain, an active DoD Secret Security Clearance
Desired Requirements:
⢠Have experience in Architectural, Structural, Mechanical and/or Electrical design for construction
⢠Have work experience within DOD environments.
⢠Be experienced with Autodesk Revit and/or AutoCAD.
⢠Be familiar with engineering/design codes and principles.
This position is expected to pay $65,000 â $80,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
