The Building Engineer supports the environment required for the delivery of health care services. The building engineer is responsible for ensuring the reliability and safety of the building systems by monitoring, operating and maintaining, building systems and equipment. The building engineer is expected to competently carry out the following duties:
- Maintain a safe patient care environment and work place.
- Support a respectful, cooperative, and positive work environment.
- Maintain and repair mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems, hospital equipment and appliances.
