About the Position


Ratio is seeking a Facilities Engineer to support the buildout and phased expansion of our new radiopharmaceutical manufacturing facility in the Salt Lake City metropolitan area (West Valley City, Utah) and to support GMP manufacturing operations once the site is operational.


Initially, this role will focus on facility construction, startup, and commissioning with particular emphasis on HVAC, cleanroom performance, and building systems controls. Over time, the Facilities Engineer will serve as a key technical resource for maintaining facility and utility systems, coordinating upgrades, supporting capital projects, and managing external service providers.



Key Responsibilities



  • Lead HVAC test and balance activities and ISO certification

  • Manage facility and utility systems

  • Manage external providers of essential facility services such as janitorial and pest control

  • Support cleanroom commissioning and qualification activities

  • Maintain asset and system master data within the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)

  • Develop and manage preventive maintenance and calibration schedules for facility and utility systems

  • Lead troubleshooting and repair activities for facility and utility systems, including oversight of third-party contractors

  • Revise and maintain facility documentation, including P&IDs, mechanical drawings, and related system records

  • Monitor and evaluate system performance through the building automation system (BAS)

  • Identify and help manage critical spare parts for facility and utility systems

  • Participate in quality systems activities, including change controls, CAPAs, deviations, and investigations

  • Partner with EHS and Radiation Safety to ensure facility safety systems are functioning as required

  • Plan and coordinate periodic site shutdown activities

  • Support facility improvement projects and site readiness activities as operations expand



Required Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent military or technical training

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in HVAC and cleanroom commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, or support

  • Familiarity with cleanroom operations and classified manufacturing spaces

  • Experience supporting facility or utility systems in a regulated or industrial environment

  • Working knowledge of preventive maintenance systems and facility documentation practices

  • Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a practical, solution-oriented approach

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with both strategic and hands-on responsibilities



Preferred Qualifications



  • Direct experience supporting capital projects

  • Experience in a GMP-regulated environment

  • Experience with CMMS platforms and BAS tools

  • Experience supporting radiopharmaceutical, pharmaceutical, biotech, or other highly regulated manufacturing operations



The annual base salary for this role is expected to range between $90,000 and $120,000. This range is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including qualifications, work experience, skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
