Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Facilities Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance and facilities operations for a manufacturing facility in Kansas City, Missouri.

This position will manage the maintenance team and oversee plant equipment, facility systems, preventive and predictive maintenance, equipment reliability, vendor projects, and new capital equipment installations.

Plastic injection molding experience is required. Automotive manufacturing experience is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all plant maintenance and facilities operations.
• Hire, supervise, train, and develop maintenance personnel.
• Ensure manufacturing equipment, buildings, grounds, and facility systems are properly maintained and operational.
• Support maintenance and troubleshooting of plastic injection molding equipment and related plant systems.
• Maintain effective preventive and predictive maintenance (PM/PdM) programs.
• Ensure service calls and machinery repairs are completed in a timely manner.
• Assist maintenance personnel with equipment and machinery troubleshooting.
• Perform and support breakdown analysis to reduce downtime and recurring equipment failures.
• Promote plant safety and support proper Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) execution.
• Manage facilities and maintenance budgets.
• Oversee maintenance stockroom operations and availability of necessary parts and consumables.
• Manage contractors, service providers, and onsite vendor projects.
• Oversee new capital equipment purchasing and installation.
• Drive continuous improvement in equipment reliability and overall maintenance performance.

Qualifications

• Plastic injection molding experience is required.
• 5–8+ years of relevant manufacturing maintenance/facilities experience.
• Previous maintenance or facilities management experience.
• Experience leading and developing maintenance personnel.
• Strong knowledge of industrial equipment troubleshooting and repair.
• Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Knowledge of LOTO and manufacturing safety practices.
• Experience managing vendors, contractors, and facility projects.
• Experience with maintenance budgets and spare-parts/stockroom operations.
• Experience with capital equipment purchases and installations.
• Automotive manufacturing experience is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

$100,000–$140,000 annually, based on experience, plus a full benefits package.
