Facilities Maintenance Tech

Growing Kids Child Care is in need of a Facility Maintenance Staff member to join our team, ensuring our facilities remain safe, welcoming, and well-maintained for our children, families, and staff. The maintenance team oversee ten (10) Centers in Northern Indiana general infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
•    Perform light repairs, including fixing doors, windows, and minor plumbing or electrical issues
•    Handle painting and touch-up work to maintain a clean, professional appearance
•    Conduct routine upkeep, such as inspecting and maintaining HVAC systems, lighting, and general facility cleanliness
•    Respond promptly to maintenance requests to ensure a safe environment
•    Drive company vehicle to various locations for maintenance tasks
Requirements:
•    Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report to operate company vehicle
•    Must pass a comprehensive background check and fingerprinting due to potential interaction with children
•    Experience in basic facility maintenance, including repairs, painting, and general upkeep
•    Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
•    Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
•    Positive attitude and ability to interact professionally in a child care environment
Preferred Qualifications:
•    Previous experience in facility maintenance for schools, child care centers, or similar settings (But not required)
•    Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, or carpentry
