Facilities Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a General Facilities Technician who is responsible for performing basic repairs, conference room and meeting set up/break down, clerical duties, general in-office errands, and flexibility to help where needed. This is a full-time, non-exempt hourly position, reporting to the Facilities Supervisor. The successful candidate will be responsible for plumbing, electrical, access control and HVAC maintenance as well as any other duties assigned by the Facilities Supervisor. We’re looking for a professional who can take the initiative and help anticipate problems before they occur. The ideal candidate will be able to communicate effectively with on clients.

• Perform basic repairs, if necessary


• Assist with conference room and meeting room set up/break down


• Clerical duties


• In-office errands


• General office assistance and in-office errands


• Communicate with facilities management about any work that requires outside expert assistance 


• Work with tools and supplies necessary to complete tasks or projects 


• Proficient with instruments and tools required for job responsibilities 

• High school education or equivalent 


• 1+ year of working experience, preferably in facilities maintenance   


• Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry 


• Ability to work with minimal supervision 


• Must demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills; customer service oriented 


• Must be organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, and able to multi-task 


• Must have the ability to climb heights, lift up to 60 lbs. and climb onto ladders
