Job Description:

 

The Outsourced Finance & Accounting group helps businesses to operate more effectively, make better decisions and spend less time on accounting and financial operations.  The Associate role is instrumental in our ability to deliver on our promise.  We are looking for energetic individuals who have a passion for learning and using technology to provide outsourced finance & accounting services to our dynamic client base.

Associates fill a variety of roles depending on the accounting service needs of our client. Associates will supervise business processes related to client billing, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, bookkeeping activities, and business tax filings.

Responsibilities: 

• Monitors quality, verifies information, and checks accuracy of work for self and others

• Suggests policy & procedure improvements

• Assists with new software vetting & implementation

• Performs transaction processing to test code and workflow; assists with workflow and knowledge base documentation

• Performs account reconciliation

• Processes client billings and A/R

• Applies cash receipts to open A/R invoices

• Creates customer credit memos as approved by client

• Applies customer credit memos to open A/R invoices

• Oversees local tax and license filings

• Provides assistance, information, or support to others to build or maintain relationships

• Effectively applies technical knowledge to solve a range of problems.

• Develops and uses systems to organize and keep track of information or work progress

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis upon hire. Baker Tilly will not consider candidates for this position who require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future (e.g., H-1B, STEM OPT)

• Associate degree or equivalent work experience required

• Ability to commute as needed throughout the region; to include Baker Tilly's offices

• Ability to travel to client locations, including overnight stays, with travel expectations varying by department and location

• Seasonal flexibility to work overtime or additional hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

• Technology-related coursework highly desirable

The compensation range for this role is $28 to $36. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
