Job Description - Family Law Attorney

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

Note: An active Pennsylvania Bar license and at least 1 year of directly relevant family law experience are required.

Job Description

  • Represent clients in family law matters, providing thoughtful legal guidance from initial consultation through resolution.
  • Manage a caseload involving matters such as divorce, custody, support, equitable distribution, and other domestic relations issues.
  • Conduct legal research and analyze statutes, regulations, and case law relevant to active matters.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, agreements, correspondence, discovery, and other legal documents.
  • Prepare cases for hearings, conferences, mediation, negotiation, and litigation.
  • Advocate for clients while pursuing practical and cost-effective resolutions.
  • Communicate directly with clients to explain legal options, case strategy, developments, and next steps.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and staff to keep matters organized, responsive, and moving forward.
  • Maintain strong attention to deadlines, court requirements, documentation, and case details.

Qualifications

  • Active Pennsylvania Bar license in good standing.
  • 1+ year of family law experience.
  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
  • Strong legal research, writing, negotiation, and client communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters, deadlines, and priorities independently.
  • Professional judgment, attention to detail, and a client-focused approach.
  • Courtroom, hearing, mediation, or negotiation experience is a plus.
