Location

Woodbury, NJ. This is a hybrid opportunity with significant work-from-home flexibility once you are fully onboarded and comfortable with the firm's systems. Remote flexibility is available as long as productivity, billable expectations, client service, and accessibility to the team remain strong.

Note

Candidates must have an active New Jersey Bar license in good standing and 1+ year of New Jersey family law experience. Attorneys coming from broader practices should have spent approximately 40% to 50% or more of their practice handling family law matters. Pennsylvania Bar admission and Spanish fluency are highly preferred but not required.

Job Description

• Manage an active caseload of New Jersey family law matters with a high level of autonomy.
• Counsel clients through divorce, custody, support, equitable distribution, domestic violence, post-judgment, and related family law matters.
• Develop case strategy and guide matters through negotiation, mediation, settlement, and litigation as appropriate.
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery, settlement agreements, correspondence, and other legal documents.
• Prepare for and appear at hearings, conferences, negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings.
• Communicate directly with clients and provide responsive, practical guidance throughout their matters.
• Collaborate with experienced attorneys and support staff while maintaining ownership of your files.
• Meet the firm's manageable billable expectation of 6 billable hours per firm-open workday.
• Contribute to a professional, accountable, collaborative, and client-focused team environment.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Bar license in good standing.
• 1+ year of New Jersey family law experience.
• Strong understanding of New Jersey family law procedures and practice.
• Ability to independently manage cases, deadlines, client communications, and competing priorities.
• Strong legal research, writing, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
• Excellent communication and client-service skills.
• Pennsylvania Bar admission preferred.
• Spanish fluency preferred.
• Portable book of business welcomed but not required.
