Location

Woodbury, NJ. This is a hybrid opportunity with work-from-home flexibility available after you are fully onboarded and have mastered the firm's systems. Continued flexibility is based on maintaining strong productivity, responsiveness, and accessibility to the team and clients.

Candidates must have 1+ year of family law experience. New Jersey family law experience is strongly preferred because this position will support an active caseload involving New Jersey family court matters.

Job Description

• Support attorneys throughout all stages of New Jersey family law matters.
• Assist with divorce, child custody, parenting time, child support, alimony, equitable distribution, domestic violence, and post-judgment matters.
• Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, correspondence, discovery, case information statements, and other legal documents.
• Organize case files and maintain accurate calendars, deadlines, court dates, and filing requirements.
• Communicate professionally with clients, attorneys, courts, experts, and other parties.
• Assist with discovery requests, document collection, production, and case preparation.
• Prepare attorneys for hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and trials.
• Handle electronic filing and help ensure court submissions are accurate and timely.
• Maintain organized client files and keep attorneys informed of upcoming deadlines and case developments.
• Provide responsive, compassionate support to clients during sensitive family law matters.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of family law paralegal or directly related legal support experience.
• New Jersey family law experience strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with family law pleadings, discovery, court filings, and case management.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple matters, priorities, and deadlines.
• Professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable communicating directly with clients.
• Strong technology and case management skills.
• Paralegal certificate or related education is helpful but not required unless otherwise supported by equivalent experience.
