Position Highlights
Full-time Core Faculty position within an ACGME-accredited Family Medicine Residency Program
Practice location includes Grand River Health Center and the Detroit Medical Center system
Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
No weekend requirements
Shared practice call
One day per week dedicated to resident precepting and clinical supervision
One day per week dedicated to maintaining your own clinical practice and patient panel
Half day per week focused on didactics, lectures, and curriculum development
Approximately 2.5 days per week allocated to administrative responsibilities
Outpatient-focused clinical and teaching environment
Serve as a resident advisor, mentor, and role model
Participate in resident recruitment, journal clubs, and scholarly activities
Mentor resident research and senior projects
All rotations occur within the DMC health system

Candidate Requirements
MD or DO degree
DEA certificate
Board Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine
Maintain CME requirements
Michigan medical license or eligibility for licensure in Michigan
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain within three months of hire
Knowledge of preventive medicine principles and practices
Knowledge of state and federal laws pertaining to medicine and community health centers
3 to 5 years of Family Medicine clinical experience
Outpatient medical faculty experience preferred
