Camp Fire Alaska is looking for an energetic, relationship-driven Family Navigator to help connect youth and families with high-quality afterschool programs and community resources. In this role, you'll spend your time building partnerships with schools, community organizations, and families while helping ensure every child has access to opportunities that support their success.

No two days are the same. One day you may be meeting with a school to discuss enrollment opportunities, the next you could be helping a family access community resources, hosting a family engagement event, or representing Camp Fire Alaska at a community resource fair.

This role is ideal for someone who is a
self-starter and enjoys taking initiative. We're looking for an individual who can independently identify opportunities, build relationships with schools and community partners from the ground up, and develop creative strategies that increase family engagement and youth participation in our programs. Success in this role comes from being proactive, resourceful, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively to achieve results.

  • Build strong relationships with schools, families, community organizations, and local partners.

  • Develop outreach strategies that increase youth enrollment in Camp Fire Alaska programs.

  • Connect families with community resources and services that support youth and family well-being.

  • Guide families through program registration and help navigate community systems.

  • Plan and facilitate family engagement events, workshops, and educational opportunities.

  • Identify new partnership opportunities that expand access to youth programs.

  • Track outreach efforts, referrals, and enrollment data to measure success and improve outcomes.

  • Collaborate with program leadership to identify families who may benefit from additional support.

Who Will Thrive in This Role?

You'll be successful if you are:

  • A self-starter who enjoys creating opportunities rather than waiting for them.

  • Comfortable introducing yourself, building relationships, and earning trust with families and community partners.

  • Organized enough to manage multiple projects while following through on commitments.

  • Passionate about helping youth and families succeed.

  • Confident speaking in front of groups and representing an organization in the community.
