FIBER I&R TECHNICIANS NEEDED

FTTH INSTALLATION & REPAIR | PRODUCTION-BASED PAY | TRAINING AVAILABLE

Multiple Locations Available – Location-Specific Details Provided During Recruiting

Are you dependable, motivated, and ready to build a career in the telecommunications industry?

We are looking for Fiber I&R Technicians to perform residential FTTH (Fiber-to-the-Home) installations, service activations, repairs, and troubleshooting.

Experienced fiber technicians are encouraged to apply — but fiber experience is NOT always required!

HAVE THE TRUCK. HAVE THE TOOLS. HAVE THE WORK ETHIC.

If you have the right attitude, a strong work ethic, and the willingness to learn, training may be available for candidates who are new to fiber.

We are looking for people who:

  • Can work independently and manage their daily workload
  • Take care of their truck, tools, equipment, and customers
  • Are willing to learn and follow established processes

NO FIBER EXPERIENCE? THAT'S OKAY!

Don't have fiber experience but think you have what it takes? Apply anyway.

Training may be available for motivated candidates who demonstrate the right attitude, work ethic, mechanical ability, and willingness to learn.

Training may cover areas such as:

  • FTTH installation procedures
  • Fiber optic fundamentals
  • Fiber testing and troubleshooting
  • NID/ONT installation
  • Customer equipment and service activation
  • Drop installation and routing
  • Fiber handling and proper installation techniques
  • Safety procedures and job-site requirements
  • Work-order documentation
  • Customer communication
  • Quality and productivity expectations

We can teach the technical skills. We need people who are willing to learn, work hard, and take pride in what they do.

Previous experience in cable, telecommunications, electrical, low-voltage, satellite installation, security systems, construction, utility work, or other field-service trades is a plus.

YOUR TRUCK & TOOLS ARE IMPORTANT

For this position, you must have:

Your own reliable truck, van, or SUV suitable for the work
Ladder rack capable of safely carrying the required ladders
Industry-specific tools and equipment required for the position
Reliable smartphone
Laptop/computer when required

Applicants must be prepared to provide their own vehicle and required tools.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Install, activate, troubleshoot, and repair residential FTTH services
  • Install aerial and buried fiber drops
  • Perform interior and exterior wiring
  • Install and service NIDs, ONTs, and related equipment
  • Test fiber connections and verify service quality
  • Identify and troubleshoot service issues
  • Complete pre-installation and post-installation checks
  • Educate customers on equipment and services
  • Accurately complete work orders and service documentation
  • Follow project-specific quality and safety requirements
  • Work from ladders and at heights when required
  • Perform hand digging and other basic construction-related tasks when necessary
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment
  • Meet established productivity and quality expectations

COMPENSATION

Production-based pay

Rates and project-specific compensation details will be discussed during the recruiting process.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Reliable personal vehicle appropriate for the work
  • Required industry-specific tools
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to pass applicable background/MVR requirements
  • Drug screening when required by the project
  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong communication and customer-service skills
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or extended hours when required
  • Strong attention to safety and quality
