Job Summary

The I&R Ground Hand is a position for anyone looking to get into the telecommunications trade with little to no experience. Your day to day will consist of working with a lead I&R technician installing and servicing fiber to the home internet service.

Primary Role and Responsibilities for the I&R Ground Hand

• Work with Lead I&R technician on day to day operations


• Assist with running all premise related wiring needed to complete jobs


• Assist with paperwork and documentation when applicable


• Assist with proper job site clean up and maintenance


• Assist with material tracking and vehicle inventory readiness for scheduled work

What you need to be successful in this role:

• Experience with hand tools and power tools preferred but not necessary


• Ability to work long hours standing /sitting in a single position


• Ability to work in crawlspaces, attics and outdoors


• Ability to learn networking equipment specs and functions


• Valid class E driver's license and good driving record


• High School Diploma or GED
