Field/Construction Inspector

We are looking for a Field Inspector. 

Education and Experience:

• Construction or Engineering background is preferred


• Minimum of 2 years preferred
  

Basic Skills include:

• Excellent verbal and written communication


• Willingness to work in outdoor weather conditions


• Willingness to work outside of normal business hours when required by the project.

Additional Requirements:

• Must possess a valid Driver's License

Responsibilities:

• Observe and inspect the Contractor’s daily work


• Keep a daily record of instructions and directions to Contractor regarding plan and specification interpretation and any required change orders


• Keep daily record of communications with Engineer, Owner, and members of the public


• Coordinate with independent testing labs for any materials testing required by project specifications


• Verify quantities for payment on Contractor’s monthly pay request


• Coordinate construction activities/schedules with residents, utility companies, and other agencies


• Inspect materials before installation


• Observe installation methods for equipment and materials


• Answer technical questions and provide information to Client or Engineer


• Participate in final inspections and acceptance of work


• Attend and participate in preconstruction meetings


• Attend and participate in progress meetings


• Ensure that the Contractor is installing proposed improvements per plans and specifications


• Assist in preparation of final record drawings
