Duties and Responsibilities
● Prepare, implement and adjust daily lessons for students
● Ensure alignment of project based, experiential curriculum to school mission and vision
and appropriate standards
● Collaborate with parents and consistently communicate student progress, include
participating in Parent/Teacher Conferences and other school events
● Provide a safe and effective learning environment for all students
● Provide direct instruction as well as experiential, project based, and culturally
responsive opportunities
● Support the school’s mission and vision of a school that supports students academically,
physically and emotionally, and culturally.
● Analyze student data to identify trends
● Follow the school’s Student Assistance Team (SAT) process to ensure student support
● Use data-driven instruction to capture individual student progress and differentiate
within the classroom on a daily basis
● Maintain a positive classroom environment with a strong, supportive classroom
management system
● Be a positive and enthusiastic member of a learning team focused on improving
teaching techniques
● Think critically and implement ideas incorporating Tewa language into daily lessons
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Licensure
● Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education or related field
● New Mexico Elementary Teaching License
