Our employees are not only part of history, they\u0027re making history.\n\nNorthrop Grumman Space Systems has an opening for a Final Assembly Inspector - Level 3 or Level 4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within the Launch Systems business unit located in Promontory, UT.\n\nFinal Assembly Inspector responsibilities cover a wide array of manufacturing areas and a broad variety of processes on inert and energetic materials. Knowledge of overall quality inspection experience with demonstrated knowledge of high reliability workmanship standards with hardware/interfaces typical of the high-tech industry.\n\nThis position will be on 1st shift. As work demand fluctuates there may be requirements for shift work, overtime, weekends, and holidays.\n\nThis position will work a 4/10 schedule, with every Friday off.\n\nThis position is contingent upon the candidate obtaining final clearances and program access(es) within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company.\n\nIn this job, you will:\n\n * Apply hands-on knowledge of inspection methods and techniques with knowledge of AS9100 (or equivalent) and other related standards. \n\n * Receiving inspection experience and experience with creating Nonconformances within TipQa.\n\n * ESD, FOD and Shelf Life Control experience.\n\n * Experience using inspection hand tooling such as Micrometers, Calipers, and etc.\n\n * Efficient using Excel, Word, and Outlook.\n\n * Experience working with TipQa, MES, and CostPoint software\n\n * Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time, walk up and down stairs, climb up ladders, reach into tight spaces, and lift up to 30 pounds.\n\n\n\n\nBasic Qualifications for Level 3:\n\n * High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience.\n\n * Must have ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required.\n\n * Ability to pass a BATFE Background investigation\n\n * Ability to travel 10-15% is required\n\n * Hands-on knowledge and experience of inspection methods and techniques, inspection tools, and inspection equipment on inert and energetic materials.\n\n * Experience with nonconformance procedures.\n\n * Basic understanding of reading and interpreting model-based drawings.\n\n\n\n\nBasic Qualifications for Level 4:\n\n * High School diploma or equivalent and 6 years additional education and/or related experience. \n\n\n\n * Must have ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance. For more information on our Total Rewards package, please visit our Total Rewards site.\n\nNorthrop Grumman Total Rewards\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $62,700.00 - $104,500.00\n\nSecondary Level Salary Range: $74,500.00 - $124,100.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
