Job Description:

The Space and Mission Systems (SMS) Segment Financial Planning and Analysis Cobra team seeks a Deltek Cobra Subject Matter Specialist to drive the implementation, optimization, and support of Cobra across the SMS segment. This unique role sits at the intersection of Finance, IT, and Data Science, with a strong focus on Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) compliance and data integration. You will be part of a team responsible for user support and system administration of a Cobra instance, with additional support for managing the data architecture of upstream and downstream systems using Cobra. You will interface regularly with key Finance and Program Management Excellence (PMX) stakeholders, and you will play a critical role in onboarding segment programs to the Program Digital Cockpit (PDC). You will have the opportunity to take part in a highly visible, mission‑critical system by leveraging data science principles and IT best practices to provide technical and functional guidance to other Finance professionals.

Essential Functions:

• Serve as a Deltek Cobra system and IT/functional resource for program financial analysts (PFAs) in the use of Cobra and EVMS processes
• Blend data science with financial analytical principles to understand, map, and optimize the flow and interaction of data from PeopleSoft to Cobra to PMX tools to PDC reports
• Proactively improve internal administrative processes and procedures including rate table updates, actuals processing, and user interfaces
• Proactively look to automate processes where possible using scripting or advanced data manipulation
• Collaborate with Segment Finance and Corporate IT teams to standardize processes and data architectures across the enterprise

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience; Or, Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience; Or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Microsoft Office Suite experience
• Excel knowledge including pivot tables, lookups, relational formulas, and data shaping
• Experience with PeopleSoft and SAP ERPs and their underlying data structures
• Direct experience with Deltek Cobra administration, implementation, or advanced usage
• Understanding of Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and EIA‑748 compliance standards
• Experience with data science, analytics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), or business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, SQL, Python, R) to manipulate, automate, and visualize complex datasets
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate IT and data concepts for finance and program management stakeholders
• Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, team environment
