GLAUKOS - FINANCE LEAD, R&D

Location: Aliso Viejo, CA

How will you make an impact?

Glaukos is seeking a Finance Lead that will serve as a strategic partner to the R&D organization, delivering financial insights that support informed decision-making, effective resource allocation, and operational excellence. This role will oversee financial planning, reporting, and analysis while supporting initiatives that improve financial accuracy, efficiency, and visibility across the R&D portfolio. 

What will you do?

• Lead month-end close activities, quarterly forecasts, and annual planning for the global R&D function.


• Develop and maintain study-level financial trackers for budgets, spending, purchase commitments, invoices, and remaining funding.


• Prepare variance analyses and identify financial risks and opportunities.


• Partner with Accounting to ensure timely and accurate accruals.


• Provide financial guidance to department leaders on budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation.


• Use analytics, automation, and visualization tools to improve reporting and decision support.


• Support business cases for strategic initiatives and product launches.


• Collaborate with teams across R&D, Operations, Supply Chain, Commercial, and Audit. 

How will you get here?

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Science, or a related field.


• 5+ years of relevant finance experience.


• Experience developing complex financial models in Excel.


• Hands-on experience with Oracle, SAP, or a comparable ERP system.


• Medical device, pharmaceutical, or R&D finance experience preferred.


• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.


• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
