Job Description - Financial Advisor






Overview






Reports to: Manager, Investment Services.

 

Functions Supervised: None

 

Primary Functions: Responsible for developing new business and servicing existing accounts in alignment with goals & industry requirements.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Meet with existing and prospective clients to promote financial planning and investment services.
  2. Conduct educational seminars and workshops.
  3. Present client financial plan and investment proposals in a professional manner.
  4. Collect all required documentation, deposits, premiums, etc. in a timely and complete manner per established procedures and regulatory requirements.
  5. Coordinate with program partners to service accounts, assist with inquiries and information requests, and resolve any issues relating to products and services.
  6. Track sales, marketing and referrals.
  7. Provide referrals for other Global Credit Union services as appropriate.
  8. Participate in the credit union’s business development activities, while seeking and recommending new opportunities.
  9. Meet production goals.
  10. Adhere to organizational and industry guidelines, policy, procedure, compliance, licensing and training requirements.
  11. Maintain proficiency with organization and program partner systems.
  12. Perform service calls and special projects when warranted.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned.








Qualifications






Education: Series 7, 63 and/or 65/66 and Life and Health Insurance Licenses. LUTCF, CLU, ChFC or CFP designation and bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or other related field preferred.

 

Creditable Experience in Lieu of Education: Not Applicable

 

Experience/Skills: Three years financial services sales experience. Ability to create and deliver effective messages scaled to the appropriate audience. Must be willing to travel as required.

Compensation






Starting base salary will be determined based on candidate experience, qualifications, education, and applicable local or state wage requirements, and will fall within the range provided below. In accordance with our Salary Administration policy, new hire base salaries generally fall between the minimum and midpoint of the listed range.






Salary Pay Range: 19






$60,000 - $80,000 annually
