Job Description - Financial Care Agent - Fayette, Days

Overview

Assist with Medicaid and charity care application procedures, educating patients about their financial liabilities, and developing patient payment arrangements for said liabilities. The Financial Counselor is a facility-based position and reports to the PAS Supervisor.

Education

H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required

Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s from a recognized college or university Preferred

Work Experience

3 years of previous related healthcare Revenue Cycle experience, preferably with a focus in Financial Counseling Required

4 years of previous related healthcare Revenue Cycle experience, preferably with a focus in Financial Counseling Preferred

Call center experience. Preferred

Previous Epic experience. Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

None Required

Certification with Healthcare Financial Management Association Preferred

Certified Revenue Cycle Representative Preferred
