You will play a key role in strengthening customer relationships, developing new business opportunities, and supporting the continued growth of the Financial Center. This role presents a unique opportunity to help establish and grow First Federal's presence in the Massillon community. The Financial Center Manager will play a key role in building relationships, developing local partnerships, increasing community visibility, and creating a strong foundation for long-term success in this growing market. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serves internal and external customers in a professional and relationship-focused manner by:
- Adhering to the First Federal Way Customer Experience standards
- Following the First Federal World Class Leadership Guide to support an exceptional employee experience
- Attending to the needs of existing and prospective customers and ensuring concerns are resolved in a timely manner
- Building trust-based relationships that strengthen customer loyalty and support First Federal's presence within the Massillon community
- Actively leads the Financial Center team to success by:
- Implementing and communicating bank initiatives, programs, policies, procedures, and goals
- Scheduling and supervising team workflow while approving time off to ensure efficient operations
- Conducting regular coaching sessions, both one-on-one and group meetings, to review goals, provide feedback, address performance concerns, and support professional development
- Leading weekly Customer Service Reset meetings
- Reinforcing accountability and appropriate use of the chain of command
- Serving customers directly and maintaining proficiency in all Customer Relationship Associate responsibilities
- Creating an engaged, high-performing team culture focused on exceptional customer experiences, continuous improvement, and professional growth
- Manages Financial Center Operations by:
- Assisting and advising team members regarding consumer lending, new accounts, transactions, and customer experience activities
- Demonstrating adaptability to changing business needs, priorities, and deadlines
- Maintaining high standards of accuracy, preparedness, and regulatory compliance
- Accepting consumer loan applications, including personal loans, vehicle loans, and home equity lines of credit, while communicating effectively with third-party vendors
- Ensuring a safe, secure, and well-maintained financial center environment
- Completing required audits and providing information needed for internal and external reviews
- Maintaining accurate electronic records and file storage systems
- Managing vendor relationships and facility needs, including maintenance, technology, supplies, and ATM operations
- Collaborating with the Training Department to support ongoing employee development
- Preparing and approving operational, security, and productivity reports as needed
- Attending and actively participating in financial center management meetings
- Demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and ethical leadership while serving as a positive role model
- Keeping leadership informed of key issues, opportunities, and concerns in a timely manner
- Pursuing ongoing professional development and continuous improvement
- Drives Financial Center Growth and Community Engagement by:
- Meeting financial center goals and growth expectations
- Leveraging knowledge of First Federal products and services to identify customer needs and make referrals that strengthen overall banking relationships
- Building strong relationships with customers and prospective customers through personalized, one-on-one interactions
- Develop and execute local business development and networking strategies to expand relationships with consumers, businesses, and community partners
- Establish meaningful relationships with local chambers, schools, non-profit organizations, businesses, and community leaders
- Comfortable operating with a high degree of initiative and ownership while helping establish relationships, and market presence in a growing financial center
- Training, coaching, and motivating team members to recognize opportunities and cross-promote products and services
- Assisting with the implementation of new products, services, and programs to support exceptional customer experiences
- Actively participating in community events, organizations, and committees while serving as a positive ambassador for First Federal
- Supporting and participating in Bank-sponsored events, including contributing additional time and effort when needed
- Maintaining trusted, confidential, and professional relationships with customers and community members
- Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, management, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Previous banking leadership or branch management experience
- Strong knowledge of retail banking operations, consumer lending, and compliance requirements
- Proven ability to coach, develop, and motivate teams
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and business development skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and banking technologies
