Overview


Smosh is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Financial Operations Clerk to support the day-to-day financial operations of the company. This role assists with payroll for project-based employees, production accounting, accounts payable, reimbursements, and financial record keeping to help ensure accurate and timely financial processes across the organization.


The ideal candidate enjoys creating structure, maintaining accurate records, and supporting multiple teams in a fast-paced production environment.


This position reports directly to the Financial Operations Specialist

Key Responsibilities



  • Project-Based Payroll: Handle data entry for project based payroll, follow up with internal staff and employees, and assist project based employees with timecard entry and troubleshooting. 

  • Reimbursements & Accounts Payable: Process employee reimbursements and mileage requests, coordinate vendor documentation and payment requests, and assist with general accounts payable workflows

  • P-Card Reconciliation: Assist with production accounting, including weekly CASHet proofing, expense tracking, and reconciliation support.

  • Data Management & Financial Logs: Maintain and update financial trackers, including invoices, reimbursement records, and department records.

  • Audits & Reporting: Assist with collecting and organizing financial information and documentation for budgets, audits, and reporting.

  • Administrative Support: Maintain standard operation procedures, shared resources, and department documentation, while supporting the Financial Operations Specialist with recurring administrative tasks, special projects, and department initiatives.



Preferred Qualifications



  • 1-3 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, accounts payable, production accounting, or a related administrative role.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.

  • Experience with CASHet or P-Card reconciliation

  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.

  • High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
