Fire Extinguisher Technician

Responsible for performing visual inspections of fire extinguishers to ensure they meet specified standards.

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.

• Inspect extinguishers to ensure they meet all safety standards within the jurisdiction of the state.


• Ensure tag is not expired and unit is in proper working order (pins have not been pulled, no physical damage exists, no repair or replacement needed).


• Schedule service of units needing repair with service technicians.


• This position is required to drive.


• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Background check, credit check, MVR and drug screen may be required (will vary by position).
