Tampa, Florida. This is a flexible hybrid opportunity combining in-office collaboration with remote work.

Job Description

• Analyze complex first-party property insurance policies and coverage issues
• Advise insurance clients throughout claim investigation and pre-suit coverage analysis
• Handle first-party property coverage disputes from initial investigation through litigation and resolution
• Conduct examinations under oath and participate in depositions
• Draft coverage opinions, pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other substantive legal documents
• Work with experts and consultants regarding complex commercial and residential property losses
• Represent clients in mediations, hearings, negotiations, and other dispute-resolution proceedings
• Develop litigation and settlement strategies based on policy language, damages, and claim exposure
• Manage multiple active matters while meeting client reporting and litigation deadlines
• Collaborate with experienced coverage attorneys on complex and high-value insurance disputes

Qualifications

• 2+ years of first-party property coverage experience
• JD from an accredited law school
• Active Florida Bar license in good standing
• Experience analyzing property insurance policies and coverage issues
• Experience with EUOs, depositions, pleadings, motions, or mediations preferred
• Commercial or residential property coverage litigation experience preferred
• Strong legal research, analytical, writing, and oral advocacy skills
• Excellent client communication, organization, and time-management abilities
• Ability to manage multiple active matters and urgent deadlines
• Collaborative, detail-oriented, team-first approach

• Salary Bands (Only if attorney role):

$120,000 to $135,000 for 2 to 3 years; 

$135,000 to $150,000 for 4 to 5 years; 

$150,000 to $170,000 for 6+ years.
