Job Description - Fleet Connectivity Coordinator


SAGE Rental Services is seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Fleet Connectivity Coordinator to join our Shreveport team. This position plays a critical role in supporting our Outside Sales team, serving customers directly, and ensuring the successful execution of rental operations at the branch level.
The ideal candidate is customer‑focused, organized, technically capable, and comfortable working across sales, operations, and fleet functions to deliver a best‑in‑class customer experience.

Responsibilities (including, but not limited to)

Customer Service and Sales Support

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for inbound customer inquiries, walk‑in traffic, and counter sales
  • Process and support rental requests from Outside Sales Representatives and direct customer orders
  • Demonstrate equipment and explain product features, applications, and capabilities upon request
  • Provide accurate rental pricing, availability, and estimated delivery timelines based on production and dispatch schedules
  • Act as a liaison between customers, sales, dispatch, service, and operations teams to ensure expectations are met or exceeded
  • Support account activity by maintaining up‑to‑date customer information, documentation, and sales literature 
Sales Administration & Operations
  • Prepare rental contracts, sales orders, quotes, and bid support for new and existing jobs
  • Assist with project pricing and bid formulation in coordination with Outside Sales and branch leadership
  • Dispatch service calls as required and maintain accurate call logs and documentation
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of company equipment, inventory, pricing, and delivery capabilities
  • Support day‑to‑day branch operations and assist with oversight in the absence of the Branch Manager
Fleet, Telematics & Reporting Support
  • Collaborate with the Fleet Manager and CFO to analyze fleet performance, utilization trends, and data integrity to support asset management and reporting objectives
  • Assist the Fleet Manager with day‑to‑day support of telematics systems across the rental fleet
  • Help ensure fleet utilization, location, runtime, and performance data is accurately captured, validated, and maintained within company systems
  • Support the preparation and maintenance of fleet‑related reports, dashboards, and metrics used for operational and financial decision‑making
  • Identify data discrepancies or system issues and escalate appropriately to ensure accurate and timely reporting
Compliance, Safety & Accountability
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Follow all company safety standards, environmental guidelines, and branch operating procedures
  • Contribute to achieving weekly and monthly branch performance goals
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of branch and company objectives
Requirements
  • Must be 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Must pass a pre‑employment criminal background check and drug screening
  • High school diploma or GED required; some college coursework preferred
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in customer service, inside sales, dispatch, or operations
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands, and manage workflow effectively
