Fleet Diesel Mechanic

Family-owned motorcoach
company seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic / Motorcoach Technician to join our
shop in Decatur, IL.

This is a hands-on role
focused on keeping a high-quality fleet running safely and efficiently—no
management duties, no on-call, and consistent daytime hours.

What You’ll Do

Perform maintenance and
repairs on MCI motorcoaches (some Prevost)

Diagnose mechanical and
electrical issues

Complete chassis service
and preventative maintenance

Conduct inspections and
ensure DOT compliance

Maintain accurate service
records

Occasional light work on
fire apparatus

What You Won’t Do

No management
responsibilities

No on-call or after-hours
work

No major engine or
transmission rebuilds

Schedule

Monday–Friday

6:00 AM – 2:00 PM

40 hours/week

Qualifications

Experience with diesel,
heavy-duty truck, or motorcoach maintenance

Strong mechanical and
electrical diagnostic skills

MCI / Prevost experience
a plus

Knowledge of DOT and
safety standards

CDL is a plus (not
required)

Shop Environment

Medium-sized, clean,
organized shop

Two techs, four wash crew
