Fleet Maintenance Coordinator

Bemana is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Coordinator to oversee the repair, maintenance, and compliance of our client's trailer fleet and trucks in Clio, AL. This role guides a mechanic team and collaborates with third party vendors to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations.

Position Offers

Key Responsibilities

• Direct, schedule, and support mechanics across locations, conducting daily/weekly meetings and ensuring data integrity.
• Perform light-duty non-engine repairs on leased trucks as needed.
• Use Salesforce to track trailer locations, schedule inspections, log work orders, and review team entries.
• Coordinate 3rd-party OTR repairs, managing work orders, invoicing, payments, and system entries.
• Guide mechanics on ordering parts and supplies within budget.
• Assist in managing the fleet budget and ensuring accurate, timely expense tracking.
• Manage Concur workflows: create/approve POs, track expenses, and audit mechanic expense reports.
• Build supplier relationships and audit vendor invoices and DOT maintenance documentation.
• Assist with monthly safety meetings, promote safety standards, and flag safety concerns to management.

Qualifications

• 12-month Trade School/State Certification in Commercial Vehicle Repair (or similar). Associate’s/Bachelor’s in Business or Logistics is a plus.
• 8+ years in fleet management (transportation/logistics), including 3+ years in a leadership role. Hands-on field experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, FMCSA regulations, and fleet management systems (Salesforce, Concur).
