What The Position is About:

• Oversee fleet and equipment management across multiple locations to maximize utilization, productivity, and cost efficiency
• Evaluate equipment usage, operating costs, and regional demand to ensure assets are being used effectively
• Develop and manage preventative maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and control repair expenses
• Analyze equipment performance, maintenance history, operating hours, and overall costs to determine appropriate replacement timelines
• Manage equipment acquisition, replacement, and disposal decisions based on operational needs and financial justification
• Evaluate rental versus ownership options and coordinate equipment transfers between locations to optimize fleet utilization
• Monitor fuel consumption, parts expenditures, and equipment-related operating expenses to identify cost-saving opportunities
• Establish and track equipment ownership and operating costs, including cost-per-hour metrics, to support informed financial decisions
• Utilize equipment telematics and performance data to monitor fleet productivity and identify areas for improvement
• Partner with regional operations and leadership to develop fleet capital expenditure plans and support equipment investment decisions

The Right Candidate Will Have:

• Strong fleet and heavy equipment management experience, including equipment utilization, maintenance, acquisition, replacement, and disposal
• Experience developing and overseeing preventative maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime
• Strong financial understanding of equipment ownership and operating costs
• Experience evaluating equipment performance, operating hours, maintenance costs, and business needs to make informed purchasing and replacement decisions
• Ability to manage fleet resources across multiple locations
• Proficiency with equipment telematics and fleet management data to track utilization, performance and operational efficiency
• Strategic and operational mindset with the ability to balance equipment availability, business needs, and financial performance
