Job Description - Flex - 2nd shift - Bus Person

Position: Bus Person Hourly: $16 per hour + shift differential  and weekend differential, if applicable Location: Resort Division Reports to: Food & Beverage Supervisor


In accordance with the Gaming Ordinance, all non-gaming employees whose annual income reaches $50,000 or more will be required to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license.


Responsibilities: 



  • Must attend all training provided by the North Star Mohican Casino Resort. 



  • Must adhere to all established rules, regulations, procedures, and policies of North Star Mohican Resort Casino and the Food & Beverage Department. 



  • Must participate in an employee random drug testing program. 



  • Must be able to work with a variety of people with diverse personalities. 



  • Must attend all meetings, as assigned. 



  • Must wear the approved departmental uniform. 



  • Must be reliable and prompt when reporting to work. 



  • Must maintain compliance with all workplace policies, procedures, ordinances, laws and other communicated expectations, including but not limited to: Employment Manual, Gaming Ordinance, State Gaming Compact, Minimum Internal Controls, Department Procedures, memos and other communication from supervisory or regulatory personnel.  



  • Maintain the dining area in a clean and neat manner. 



  • Clear tables and stations of dirty dishes in an efficient manner and reset dining tables and areas for guest use.  



  • Ensure tables, chairs, and floors are clean and free from debris. 



  • Empty garbage cans as needed and transported to designated areas. 



  • Monitor dining area and address any needs. 



  • Stock dishes, silverware and glassware and ensure all areas are stocked with clean, dry, and sanitized dishware. 



  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for guests and fellow associates. 



  • Keep work areas neat, clean, sanitized, and stocked with needed equipment and cleaning supplies. 



  • Assist in carrying food trays to tables, as necessary. 



  • Report any guest complaints or concerns to the immediate supervisor for resolution. 



  • Understand the goals and vision of the organization and demonstrate commitment to those goals in terms of individual and team performance. 



  • Perform as a team member and assist fellow associates to ensure smooth operation. 



  • Prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. 



  • Complete other duties as assigned. 


 


Education and Qualifications: 



  • High School Diploma or GED is preferred.  High School Diploma or GED is required if you are 19 years old and under.  Minors aged 16-17 must have either received a high school diploma or be actively currently completing their high school education. 



  • Must submit to court records search/background review. 



  • Must maintain an acceptable departmental attendance record. 



  • Must submit and pass a pre-employment drug screening and health screening. 



  • Must be able to work weekends, nights, and holidays. 



  • Must be at least 16 years of age. 



  • Must possess good communication skills and possess the ability to speak effectively and interact well with the customers and employees. 



  • Previous customer service experience is preferred. 



  • Must possess the ability to be mobile 100% of the shift including maneuvering through crowded areas.  Must be able to work in an area that is unusually hot, cold, and noisy. 



  • Must have the ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment. 


 


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIROMENT: 



  • Constant hand movements (repetitive motions: grasping, holding, use of finger dexterity).  Required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms. 



  • Constant walking and standing which may include kneeling, crouching and bending. 



  • Occasional pushing/pulling, lifting and/or moving up to thirty (30) pounds. 



  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus. 



  • Work is generally performed in a casino setting with a higher noise level and where cigarette smoke is prevalent. 



  • The environment is non-smoking.  Dust and noise levels may vary depending on location and work area.
