As a Flight Controller \u2013 Level 2 located in Colorado Springs, CO, you\u2019ll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work.\n\nThis position will require shift work including swing or night shift, and/or 12-hr shifts\n\nJob responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:\n\n * Provide mission operations support to Satellite programs including flight control.\n\n * Support system maintenance activities such as procedure updates, architecture upkeep, and formal program milestones. \n\n * Work with systems engineers to conduct anomaly review board investigations as necessary. \n\n * Conduct testing using simulators and resolve discrepancies.\n\n * Develop and test command procedures, telemetry pages, and other products derived from vendor provided documentation\n\n * Support operations readiness activities including configuration control board and other customer meetings\n\n * Support operations, including shift work which will include 12 hour and night shifts\n\n * Monitor vehicle state of health across all subsystems and perform short and long-term telemetry trending. \n\n * Track space vehicle configuration, to include both hardware, software, and configurable item parameters. \n\n * Make modifications to existing operations procedures to incorporate lessons learned from in-flight performance. Develop new procedures as required. \n\n * \u00b7Provide status reporting through both the functional and program reporting branches.\n\n * Maintain standards associated with the established Integrated/Developmental Operations functional group processes.\n\n * Support internal and external customer meetings through proficient verbal and documented (MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel) communications.\n\n * Other duties as assigned\n\n\n\n\nIf this job description reads like it was written specifically for you, consider joining our team!\n\nThis position is contingent upon the candidate obtaining final clearances and program access(es) within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company.\n\nBasic Qualifications for Level 2:\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s degree with 2 years of professional experience \u2013 OR \u2013 Master\u2019s degree with 0 years of professional experience. \n\n * Requires an active Top-Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance at time of application\n\n * Ability to work within a group of diversified individuals with varying backgrounds to achieve mission success\n\n * Outstanding verbal and written communications skills, including ability to make persuasive presentations to external customers at milestone review\n\n * Willingness and ability to support a 24/7 environment while working day/night 12hr shifts\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications: \n\n * Prior experience conducting on-orbit mission operations and resolving satellite and ground system anomalies highly preferred\n\n * Experience writing technical documents for external customers\n\n * Leadership experience within a diverse team of engineers/operators\n\n * Ability to task and manage a group of diversified individuals with varying backgrounds to achieve mission success.\n\n * Experience working on government systems and/or government process environment\n\n * Experience with at least one S/C Subsystem (ADCS, CDH, COMM, EPDS, Thermal, FSW).\n\n * Experience in ground system update and/or maintenance\n\n * Experience operating Tactical Space Systems bus product lines is strongly desired.\n\n * Experience using Tactical Space Systems ground software products is strongly desired.\n\n\n\n\nCurious about all the exciting developments with the Northrop Grumman Space Sector? For more information on our Total Rewards package, please visit our Total Rewards site.\n\nNorthrop Grumman Total Rewards\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $75,800.00 - $113,800.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
