Job Description - Floor technician

JOB SUMMARY:

Provide floor care services at contracted facilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Buffing, waxing, shampooing, dusting, vacuuming, and mopping floors in assigned areas.
Always maintain a professional and courteous attitude.
Be flexible and assume new job responsibilities as needed.
Commitment to improvement and team building.
Complete other duties as assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions. The noise level is usually moderate.

REPORTS TO: Manager on duty

Requirements

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or equivalent preferred

One year previous floor care experience required

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

None

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to stand.
Ability to go up and down stairs.
Ability to speak.
Ability to hear.
Ability to work with little direct supervision.
Ability to operate machinery.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Full range of motion above the head.
Ability to bend, lift and carry.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Lifting up to 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds. May be required to regularly stand for extended periods of time, walk, reach with hands/arms with full range of motion, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, push or pull. Regularly required to talk and hear. Frequently required to use hands and fingers to hold, handle and feel objects, knobs, keys and/or buttons.
