POSITION OVERVIEW FOH Support Staff is an all-hands support role designed for people who are willing to help wherever the restaurant needs them most. Depending on the shift, this position may include bussing tables, hosting at the door, supporting the bar as a barback, running food, assisting with table resets, stocking service areas, and helping the team maintain pace during busy service. This is not a narrow job description — it is a role for someone who understands that great hospitality depends on the details happening before anyone has to ask. The right person is flexible, proactive, fast-moving, and team-first. Reports to: General Manager / Shift Supervisor CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the dining room by clearing, pre-bussing, cleaning, and resetting tables quickly and correctly
- Assist the host stand with greeting guests, seating tables, managing wait times, answering phones, and keeping the front entry organized
- Run food from the kitchen to the dining room accurately, confidently, and with attention to table and seat numbers
- Support the bar team by stocking ice, glassware, garnishes, beverages, and supplies as needed
- Help maintain clean, stocked, and organized server stations, bar areas, expo areas, and guest-facing spaces throughout service
- Communicate clearly with servers, bartenders, hosts, food runners, kitchen staff, and managers about what is needed in the moment
- Complete opening, closing, and sidework duties as assigned
- Step into different support stations based on business volume, staffing needs, and manager direction
QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior restaurant or hospitality experience preferred, but not required for the right candidate
- Able to work quickly, stay organized, and shift priorities during busy service
- Able to stand for extended shifts, move frequently, carry trays or bus tubs, and lift up to 40 lbs
- Reliable availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Positive attitude, strong communication, and willingness to support multiple FOH roles
