Food and Beverage Supervisor

Position Overview

Hyatt Centric Congress Avenue Austin is seeking an energetic and service-focused Food & Beverage Supervisor to support daily restaurant, bar, and banquet operations. This leader will play a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences, maintaining service standards, supporting team development, and ensuring efficient day-to-day operations.

The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, leads by example, and thrives in a fast-paced, guest-centric environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the restaurant, bar, lounge, and/or banquet venues.


• Lead, motivate, and support Food & Beverage team members to achieve service excellence.


• Ensure guests receive prompt, friendly, and professional service at all times.


• Assist with scheduling, staffing, training, and onboarding of team members.


• Monitor service standards and ensure compliance with Hyatt brand expectations.


• Handle guest concerns and service recovery efforts in a timely and professional manner.


• Conduct pre-shift meetings and communicate daily operational goals.


• Support inventory management, ordering, receiving, and cost-control initiatives.


• Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.


• Monitor cash handling procedures and point-of-sale system accuracy.


• Collaborate with culinary and hotel departments to execute special events and promotions.


• Assist management in achieving departmental financial and guest satisfaction goals.


• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout all Food & Beverage outlets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years of food and beverage leadership or supervisory experience.


• Strong knowledge of restaurant and bar operations.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


• Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced environment.


• Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.


• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.


• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.

Preferred

• Previous hotel Food & Beverage experience.


• Hyatt experience preferred.


• TABC Certification.


• Food Handler Certification.


• Experience with POS systems and inventory management platforms.
