Food Runner

Job Brief:

We are seeking a reliable and energetic individual to join our team as a Restaurant Food Runner. The Food Runner will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely delivery of food from the kitchen to the customers' tables. Responsibilities:

1. Deliver food to customers:

   • Retrieve completed food orders from the kitchen and ensure proper handling and presentation.
   • Verify accuracy of orders and compare them with the customers' requests.
   • Deliver food promptly to the correct tables while ensuring appropriate garnishing and proper temperature.

2. Collaborate with kitchen and waitstaff:

   • Communicate effectively with the kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of food orders.
   • Coordinate with the waitstaff to ensure smooth and efficient service to the customers.
   • Assist in clearing tables and resetting them for the next guests.

3. Provide exceptional customer service:

   • Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
   • Answer any questions regarding the menu or restaurant offerings.
   • Attend to customer requests and concerns, and escalate to the appropriate staff member when necessary.

4. Maintain cleanliness and organization:

   • Ensure cleanliness and sanitation standards are upheld throughout the dining area.
   • Assist with cleaning tasks, such as wiping down tables, chairs, and service stations.
   • Restock supplies, such as napkins, utensils, and condiments, as needed.

5. Follow health and safety protocols:

   • Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
   • Handle food items with care to prevent contamination or spillage.
   • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including personal hygiene and appearance.

Skills Required:

• Previous experience in a similar role within the restaurant industry is preferred but not required.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
