Job Description - Food Service Specialist

Join our team and make a meaningful impact by becoming a valued member of our dynamic food services team at the Oklahoma County Crisis Intervention Center (OCCIC). Located in the heart of the metro area, our state-of-the-art facility is dedicated to providing care to high-risk individuals.

We're currently seeking a friendly and diligent Food Service Specialist to join us in preparing meals for both the Oklahoma County Crisis Intervention Center and the Oklahoma Crisis Recovery Unit. In this role, you'll handle, prepare, and serve food while maintaining the cleanliness of our food service area.

Position Details:
  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Salary:
    • Food Service Specialist III: $15.14 hourly plus benefits!
    • Food Service Specialist II: $13.46 hourly plus benefits!
    • Food Service Specialist I: $12.50 hourly plus benefits!
  • FLSA Status: Nonexempt
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
  • Food Service Specialist III: Two years of experience in commercial or institutional food service or equivalent education and experience, with vocational or technical school training in food preparation substituting for one year of required experience.
  • Food Service Specialist II: One year of experience in commercial or institutional food service or equivalent education and experience, with vocational or technical school training in food preparation substituting for one year of required experience.
  • Food Service Specialist I: No education or experience required.
Special Requirements:
  • Upon a conditional offer of employment, Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services applicants must submit to a physical examination and shall meet the physical examination requirements of occasionally lifting/carrying 50 pounds and able to push and pull a maximum force of 20 pounds.
  • Driver's license is required for this position.
