Forklift Driver/Material Handler - 1st Shift

Eaton\u2019s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Forklift Driver/Material Handler - 1st Shift to join our team in Reno, NV!\n\nThe core hours are 6 am - 2:30 pm. \n\nThe hourly rate for this position is $22.73 per hour.\n\nPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. \n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\n * Operate a forklift to move raw materials, components, supplies \u0026 finished goods.\n * Load and unload trailers as required.\n * Pick and pull stock for delivery.\n * Organize pallet area in the backyard on regular basis (assist during backyard attendant absence).\n * Organize material storage locations in backyard and inside the building on a regular basis.\n * Complete daily forklift inspection.\n * Primary owner for recycling duties for assigned area (i.e., emptying cardboard bins to the cardboard baler daily, operating cardboard baler, etc.).\n * Troubleshoot and resolve problems as they arise.\n * Keeps work areas clean and safe.\n * Supports all facility Continuous Improvement and LEAN initiatives including, but not limited to: \n\u2022 Maintain 5-S (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain) throughout shop floor and office areas. \n\u2022 Track and sustain all visual management tools such as, but not limited to: layered audits, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) boards, and any additional LEAN tools that are deemed necessary to provide direction, goals and status to the shop floor. \n\u2022 Encourage, support, and actively participate in Kaizen improvements and events throughout the facility, department, and area of responsibility.\n * Other various duties and responsibilities as may be assigned.\n\n\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nBasic (Required) Qualifications: \n\n * Minimum 6 months of previous forklift or material handling experience in a manufacturing or logistics setting.\n * Must possess a valid and current driver\u2019s license. \n * No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Reno, NV will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.\n * Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position.
