Job Description - Forklift Field Service Technician

Morrison Industrial Equipment is looking for a Forklift Field Service Technician. Located at 1825 Monroe Ave NW, Grand Rapids. First shift, no weekends, full-time. Paid weekly.

Compensation ranges from $20-$28/hour, depending on experience.

This position would require a valid driver's license in good standing. Morrison Industrial Equipment has a strict drug-free policy, and all employees are required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as a physical exam, and background check.

You will have the opportunity to diagnose/repair LP, diesel, and electric forklifts of all sizes. Occasionally, scissor/boom lifts, and floor cleaning equipment and much more!
Our competitive 12-week training program includes hands-on, job-shadowing, e-learning, and classroom learning. Training does not stop there- our technicians are always learning and growing with additional training opportunities!
This is not a desk job! Once trained, technicians are on the road in a company van, travelling to local customers with the opportunity to start and end their day from home!
No tools, no problem! Our “Tools for Technicians” program provides all the tools you need upon onboarding. It’s an 18-month program and throughout the training, we offer multiple opportunities to gain certifications and put money in your pocket that can be used for more/new tools.

Our Technicians Typically:

Have a Valid Driver’s License, for a Minimum of the Past Three Years
Can Pass a Drug Screen and Background Check
Comfortable Working in a Wide Variety of Weather Conditions
Ability to Lift 50 Pounds due to Lift and Move Functions
Have a Strong Mechanical Aptitude and Abilities
Have Good Customer Relations Skills with Clear and Concise Language Skills
Utilize Technology such as a Laptop or Tablet
Have a Strong Desire to Learn
