A new veterinary hospital in Chevy Chase, MD is seeking an experienced veterinarian to serve as a founding leader and help shape the practice from the ground up. This opportunity is designed for a veterinarian who wants meaningful input into the hospital’s medical direction, team culture, services, and long-term growth.

About the Opportunity

The hospital is being developed in a high-visibility location within a growing community and will be designed around a modern, individualized approach to veterinary care. The facility will support comprehensive medicine, including advanced surgery and dentistry, with a strong focus on patient experience and quality care.

As the founding veterinarian, you will have the opportunity to:

• Help establish the hospital’s medical vision and standards


• Build and develop the veterinary and support team


• Practice with significant medical autonomy


• Shape services around your clinical interests


• Establish long-term relationships with clients and the local community


• Work with dedicated operational and marketing support


• Contribute to the overall growth and development of the practice

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree


• Active veterinary license in good standing


• 4+ years of veterinary experience


• Strong background in general medicine, surgery, and dentistry


• Excellent communication and leadership skills


• Comfortable mentoring and developing a veterinary team


• Entrepreneurial mindset and interest in practice growth


• Previous leadership or management experience is a plus
