Front Desk Receptionist

Loup Basin Public Health Department (LBPHD) is looking for a welcoming, dependable, and motivated individual to join our team as a Front Desk Receptionist!

As the first person many of our patients and visitors meet, you'll play an important role in creating a positive experience for everyone who walks through our doors.

This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys working with people, staying organized, and learning new skills. In addition to traditional receptionist duties, you'll have the opportunity to learn about advertising, social media, and community outreach to help promote the services we provide across our nine-county area.

No marketing experience? No problem! We're happy to train the right person.

What You'll Do:

Front Desk & Office Support

• Welcome patients and visitors with a friendly, professional attitude.


• Answer phone calls, respond to questions, and direct individuals to the appropriate staff.


• Schedule appointments and assist with patient registration and check-in.


• Help maintain accurate records and complete general office tasks.


• Assist staff with administrative projects and daily office operations.


• Help create a welcoming, organized, and positive environment for patients and coworkers.

Advertising & Community Outreach

• Learn to create simple social media posts, flyers, and other promotional materials.


• Help share information about upcoming clinics, events, and public health services.


• Assist with updating our website and social media pages.


• Work with staff to gather information and promote the great work happening at LBPHD.


• Bring new ideas to help us connect with the communities we serve.

Training and guidance will be provided for advertising and outreach responsibilities. You do not need previous marketing or graphic design experience to apply.

• Previous receptionist, customer service, office, or healthcare experience is helpful, but not required.
