Skills You Bring to This Role:

·         High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

·         5+ years of directly related tooling experience or a leadership role in manufacturing

·         Seeking an individual who can be an empowering team leader.

·         Being goal-oriented and data driven with a strong sense of urgency.

·         Experience using Leica or similar laser measuring equipment and Spatial Analyzer software preferred.

·         Effective interpersonal, leadership, communication, and organization skills.

·         Excellent oral and written communication skills.

We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) part of the US Army’s Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless and Bell's High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next generation stop-fold aircraft. 

This position is onsite at Bell’s headquarters in Fort Worth, Texas.

This position is 1st Shift (7\:00AM-3\:30PM) – Will have mandatory OT weekend shift (on a rotational basis). This position will supervise employees at Plant 1.

Front Line Leader – Tooling

This role will be an integral part of the team, helping execute day-to-day.

 Responsible for the overall execution and performance of an assigned area.

What you’ll be doing as a Front Line Leader – Tooling:

·         Responsible for general assigning, managing and directing of the daily tool fabrication department activities of up to 25 union covered employees within their assigned area to attain economy of operations, maximize throughput, and ensure profitable production, repair and maintenance of production tooling.

·         Responsible for driving performance, safety, quality of work, managing cost, and managing employee relations.

·         Provide daily assignment and direction to direct reports.

·         Managing performance of employees when necessary, including performance evaluation and correction steps when needed.

·         Manage in accordance with the local production union Collective Bargaining Agreement.

·         Metrics driven accountability for performance\: TAKT, earned hours, efficiency, schedule, overhead, and overtime charges.

·         Achieve objectives in a matrix work environment and work effectively with multiple functions (such as Supply Chain, Process Engineering, Continuous Improvement, Quality, etc.).
