The Front of House lead is expected to supervise and coordinate the entire front of house team. It is their duty to ensure the client receives a warm welcome and that service runs smoothly. They may also be involved in recruiting their team and carrying out administrative tasks. Front of House lead must exhibit strong leadership and organizational skills. They also must answer questions about products, answer phones, take orders, and service customers. Must serve customers in a fast-paced environment while assuring inventory is stocked.
- Assist with inventory
- Oversee the front of house staff
- Ensure a welcoming and organized front of house area
- Coordinate with kitchen staff
- Manage catering orders
- Address customer inquiries
- Enforce health and safety standards
- Assist with training and onboarding new staff
- Answer incoming calls for customer orders and fill as requested.
- Assist customers with walk-in orders or shopping from store inventory.
- Provide a positive experience as customers shop including answering all questions.
- Restock all inventory as needed.
- Clean up duties as needed.
Skills and Experience
- Prior experience in food and beverage industry is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety procedures is necessary.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills.
- Shift work, weekends, and public holidays, as needed is required.
- Ability to read and comprehend food orders is required.
- Must be able to get along with coworkers while working in close quarters.
